Fresno Night Crawler

The Fresno Nightcrawlers are strange creatures in more ways than one. There is of course the obvious, they are what appears to be just a head atop a set of legs going for a walk, but it’s more than their appearance that is odd.

They are an incredibly recent phenomenon, their first appearance being in 2010.

Someone trying to claim they were a part of Native American folklore got debunked and so these odd figures are most likely a 21st century cryptid. They have been seen only three times: Fresno, California, earning their name. Yosemite Park, California. Then, finally, a third harder to verify sighting in Poland on the other side of the world.  Bigfoot can manage three sightings before breakfast!

That the Fresno Nightcrawlers became so popular with so few sightings comes down to how they were spotted – every appearance has been very clearly caught on camera, footage which to this day gets shared around online; security footage the first two times, a much shakier handicam in Poland.

Attempts to recreate the strange creatures have been easy to debunk, which leads to the question what exactly are the unusual sets of legs going for a walk in the original footage? And where might they be now?

The Fresno Night stalkers are featured on Episode 26 of LukeLore: Everybody Do The Cryptid! if you would like to know more along with stories of Bigfoot, the Mothman, and el Chupacabra.
