The Black Shuck
The dog known by many names in the British Isles: Black Shuck, Old Shuck, Old Shock or just Shuck. It is a wild, sinister shaggy black dog that roams the country side and is regarded as an omen of death. It’s howling makes ones blood run cold and his paws make no sound as it approaches. Many believe those who see the Black Shuck will meet their death before the end of the year. He is considered a Devil Hound and accounts of his appearance has been noted as far back as 1127.
