El Chupacabra – The Americas
El Chupacabra is a recently reported cryptid that was first given its name – The Goatsucker – in Puerto Rico only 25 years ago. From there, sightings spread across most of the Americas, and its notoriety went worldwide.
El Chupacabra is blamed for decades of farm animals found dead from exsanguination after mysterious vampire-like attacks in the night. When spotted, which it is frequently, El Chupacabra behaves like any other wild predatory animal and flees from human contact, and while there are many conflicting descriptions of the cryptid, what has remained consistent is the dead livestock drained of blood from puncture marks on their necks
