Baba Yaga

From Slavic and Russian folklore comes Baba Yaga, whose distinctive characteristics spread her story worldwide: iron teeth, a house that walks on chicken legs, flying around using a giant mortar and pestle, and a taste for eating children, like many of the great fairy tale witches. 

According to the thousands of stories about her, despite her terrifying taste in food she is as likely to help as she is to hurt, making Baba Yaga a powerful and complicated mythological figure.
